4. Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on:
- Contract – to provide a quote you have asked for and to deliver the services you book.

5. Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it where necessary with trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as:
- our website hosting and email providers;
- our accountant and bank or payment provider;
- authorities such as HMRC where the law requires it.
These providers may only use your information to provide their service to us. If you contact us through Facebook, Meta’s own privacy policy also applies to that conversation.
6. Cookies and third-party content
This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. WordPress may set small essential cookies needed for the site to work. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google to deliver them. Links to Facebook take you to a site with its own privacy and cookie policies.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking – up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Customer and booking records – for as long as you are a customer and up to 2 years after our last clean.
- Invoices and financial records – 6 years, as required by law.
8. Keeping it safe
We take sensible steps to protect your information, including secure, password-protected systems and limiting access to people who need it. Keys and access codes you give us are stored securely and never labelled with your address.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where we no longer need to keep it;
- object to or ask us to restrict how we use it;
- ask for your information to be transferred to someone else;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email silvia@luxecleanbelfast.com. We will reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
